Scuba Diving Instructor Certification
There are many reasons to become a NAUI Divemaster or Scuba Instructor: to work and travel, to share your love of the underwater world with others, or simply for the personal challenge. Along the way, you’ll hone your scuba diving skills and emerge as a leader in the world’s largest community of divers bound together by a shared passion for adventure and ocean conservation.
To become a NAUI Instructor, you need the following certifications:
1. Open Water Diver Certification:
This is the initial certification that allows you to dive independently.
2. Advanced Open Water Diver Certification:
This certification builds on your skills and experience, typically including deeper dives and navigation.
3.Rescue Diver Certification:
This course focuses on emergency management and diver rescue techniques.
4.First Aid and CPR Certification:
You need current first aid and CPR training, which is often included in the Rescue Diver course.
5.Divemaster or Assistant Instructor Certification:
You need to be certified as a NAUI Divemaster or Assistant Instructor, or hold an equivalent leadership-level certification from another recognized agency.
In summary, you need to progress through at least five levels of certification (Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, First Aid/CPR, and Divemaster/Assistant Instructor) before you can enroll in the NAUI Instructor Training Course (ITC).
